Here is a re-pop Tuf-Neck Generation 1 replacement stem cap, for restoring or preserving your vintage stem.
As you know, if you keep the original stem cap attached to your bike, the 6061 aluminum cap is prone to cracking under stress as it ages.
I had this replacement produced, so you can enjoy your bike without worrying about cracking your expensive and hard to replace piece.
The material and dimensions match the originals, and as you see, fit the stems perfectly.
The raw version of the re-pop comes with machining marks, that easily sand off in a few minutes with 1500+/- grit paper.
The attached cap in the image was hand-smoothed with 1500-grit paper and no-polish, so it closely mathches the survivor stem finish in the image.
These caps will also polish to a mirror finish, if you want that look.
I'll send the cap raw, so you can finish it to match your stem, or I can clean it up before sending...up to you.
